God came to tea today
1
God came to tea today
My kitchen it was in a mess
I cleared a seat for Him to sit
My unexpected guest
2
I put the kettle on and we
listened as it boiled
God said He was just passing by
in need of a little rest from all
His work and toil
3
I cried as i said - i haven't seen
You for a while - I've been busy
in the kitchen, on the farm and on the road
God said now don't you worry
Just let me share your load
4
I made some tea and we ate
some bread, and we both sat and
had a chat
We didn't notice the time go by
Until I awoke from
My little nap
