John Main Seminar 1991 - Bede Griffiths

"Christian Meditation: An Evolving Tradition"

Before his death in 1994, the Benedictine monk Bede Griffiths spent forty years living as a Sanyasi, or holy man. He made his home at Shantivanam, a Christian ashram which he led in Tamil Nadu. His prophetic witness there helped create a world center of spiritual unity. In 1991, in New Harmony, India, Bede Griffiths led the John Main Seminar on "New Creation in Christ." His focus was the teaching of John Main, whom Father Bede called "the most important spiritual guide in the Church today."
